Submit to The Irish Jurist

The Irish Jurist welcomes original, scholarly contributions of interest to Irish law and to wider legal scholarship. As Ireland’s oldest law journal, The Irish Jurist provides a forum for serious legal analysis across public law, private law, international law, legal history, legal theory, comparative law and related fields. The Irish Jurist is a peer-reviewed journal, published by Thomson Reuters and available through major legal research platforms. It is a Scopus-indexed publication, Scopus Source ID: 21101138044.

Contributions are considered by the editors in accordance with the journal’s Guidelines and Policies. Before submitting, authors should consult the Guidelines and Policies below, which set out the journal’s requirements on scope, format, originality, citation, peer review, publication ethics and the use of generative AI.

The Irish Jurist publishes two issues a year. The deadlines for submission are August 31st and December 31st.

No authors’ fees are payable. Permission to post final accepted versions of articles is usually granted.

Articles intended for publication may be submitted by email to the editors at editor@irishjurist.com, or by using the submission button below. The button prepares an email to the editors; authors should attach the manuscript and any covering material before sending.
